Shorebird Limited Lifetime Warranty

At Shorebird, we design with intention - to create products that elevate your time outside and last for years to come. We stand behind our quality & craftsmanship, which is why every Shorebird product purchased directly from Shorebird in it's original packaging, is backed by our Limited Lifetime Warranty for the original purchaser.

Who is Covered

This limited warranty extends to the original purchaser of any Shorebird products or, in the case of a gift, the original recipient of the Shorebird products. The “original purchaser” is the first purchaser of the Shorebird products from Shorebird or a Shorebird authorized retailer. The “original recipient” is the first receiver of Shorebird products purchased as a gift from Shorebird or a Shorebird authorized retailer. Warranties are valid only for the period of time the products are owned by the original purchaser/recipient of the Shorebird products. A copy of the purchase receipt is required to determine warranty applicability.

Shorebird limited warranties are not transferable and not applicable to use for commercial or rental purposes. Shorebird offers a separate Commercial Warranty for commercial, hospitality, and rental use. Please reach out to our team at hello@shorebird.com for more details about our Commercial Warranty.

Our Promise

Shorebird warrants the Shorebird products in its original packaging sold to you against defects in material and workmanship set forth below, when the products are used normally for their intended purposes.

What’s Covered

For the lifetime of the original purchaser, we cover:

Shorebird Chair:

• Cracks in the frame upon receiving

• Structural defects with normal proper use

• Loose or missing hardware upon receiving
  

• Fabric not attached to the frame upon receiving

• Cup holder attachment point missing upon receiving
  

• Holes or tears in fabric present upon receiving
  

Cup Holder:

• Missing or broken cup holder upon receiving
• Attachment point not securing properly to the chair frame
  

Oversized Beach Towel:

• Thread pulls or skipped weaving areas upon receiving
• Stains or areas of color or texture imperfections present upon receiving 

Shorebird Dad Hat:

• Loose stitching or unraveling seams present upon receiving
• Broken strap or adjustment hardware upon receiving
• Stains or discoloration present upon receiving

Replacement Fabric:

• Holes, tears, or stains present upon receiving
• Fabric not fitting properly to the Shorebird frame

What’s Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

• • Normal wear and tear, fading, patina, or material softening

  • Cosmetic marks like scratches, dings, scuffs, or stains

  • Mold, mildew, or damage from improper storage in damp conditions

  • Burns, holes, or discoloration caused by fire, embers, or extreme heat

  • Prolonged exposure to harsh conditions (storms, flooding, hail, saltwater corrosion beyond normal use, or strong chemicals)

  • Accidents, neglect, misuse, modifications, or non-Shorebird parts

  • Products purchased “as-is,” pre-owned, refurbished, or from unauthorized resellers

  • Commercial use (hotels, resorts, rentals, clubs) unless covered under a separate Commercial Warranty (see below)

Commercial & Hospitality Use

The Limited Lifetime Warranty applies only to residential use.
For hotels, resorts, clubs, rental, or other commercial settings, Shorebird offers a separate Commercial Warranty designed for higher-volume use. To learn more, please contact us at hello@shorebird.com.

How to Make a Claim

If you believe your chair has a defect covered by this warranty:

1. Email us at hello@shorebird.com

2. Include proof of purchase (receipt, order number)

3. Provide photos and a short description of the issue

WARNINGS

WARNING: REMOVING OR UNTYING, OR OTHERWISE TAMPERING WITH THE ROPE OR KNOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE SHOREBIRD BEACH CHAIR'S RECLINING SYSTEM MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY. DO NOT STAND ON ANY PART OF THE CHAIR. DO NOT SIT ON ARMRESTS. DO NOT EXCEED WEIGHT LIMIT OF 250 POUNDS (LBS). TAKE CARE WHEN FOLDING/UNFOLDING TO AVOID PINCHING OR INJURY. ENSURE ROPE IS SECURED IN CLEAT AND FABRIC IS FULLY SECURED BEFORE SITTING DOWN. DO NOT ALLOW USE BY CHILDREN WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION. KEEP AWAY FROM FIRE.
